This WWII US Army Air Force Official Guide Book is in excellent condition.
It is a wartime pocket book, 1st edition, published 1944 by Pocket Books,
Inc, New York. The book is 380 pages and is a comprehensive guide to the
operations of the AAF. Chapters include the organizational structure,
training, the types of aircraft, maintenance, bios of AAF Generals and
leaders, colored section of the AAF squadron insignia and shoulder patches
of the AAF, section on US Medals and badges, section on the USAAF Medal of
Honor Winners, chronological report on the AAF since Pearl Harbor, 3
separate sections of B&W Photos of AAF combat operations, and much more. The
book has a couple of loose pages, but is all complete. There are no tears,
missing pages, or water marks. The book measures 4 ½ inches x 6 ½ inches.
