Mint issued cent & planchet
I've posted some scans on a.p.b.n.:
A mint issued cent and planchet set was provided gratis to the attendees of the April meeting of the Greater Houston Coin Club. The woman who distributed them pointed out the very high quality of the cent, so I've included a larger scan of that. |

That's an interesting item. Do you know if these were ever being sold by
the mint? zax "Edwin Johnston" wrote in message ... The lovely woman who passed them out gets palettes full of stuff from them to distribute. I forget her name, but she said that she used to run the Long Beach show and collects silver art bars. Maybe somebody else knows who she is and how she operates. |

She and her husband, Rollie are pretty big in the Central States Numismatic Society. She is well known for her educational contributions to numismatics, especially to the Scouts. Her husband Rollie gave a wonderful presentation on the Norse American Centennial medals at the GHCC meeting. |
