Thanks Lena Well with not much of a description, ie what country this came from etc, we just have to assume the value is 25¢. Is it USA, Canada etc, a better description front and back will assist. It is more likely that she found her Dad's Viet Nam box, rather than her urgreatgrandfather's Civil War cache. Of course, that will still not tell us much... (;-) Mike M. |

I have lots and lots of circulated MPC's from the 1969-1971 era, my father was stationed o/s of Saigon. I think the MPC's and a couple of Vietnamese coins are the first items I have in my collection. I remember when I was about 6-7 he had a whole bag, literally a large bank bag full of Vietnamese and Australian coins. I still don't know whatever happened to it. I just remember a few years later I got a large coffee full of pre 1960's era coinage, mostly pennies, but also coins on up to an 1878 Silver dollar. Then I was hooked. I know now he was a change hoarder. The habit must be genetic. Dave --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
