Default How do you disassemble and clean a sheaffer snorkel?

I own two snorkels...a desk pen and a regular pocket fountain pen. In
both cases the snorkel tube seems partially "jammed", they no longer
fully retract. Soaking has not been enough to get the pens back in
working order.

I'd like to learn how to disassemble and clean the pens myself, if it
doesn't need a huge investment in special equipment. It would probably
be useful to also learn to change the ink sac.

How can I go about learning to do these things?

The best solution is to get a copy of the late Frank Dubiel's book on pen
repair, known as Da Book. It has a good section on snorkel repair. You can
get a copy from Sam at: http://www.pendemonium.com/ there are other
sources as well. If you can a copy of the material on snorkel repair from
the late Fr. Terrance Koch, it has good information as well. You would be
well advised to change out all the rubber parts of the pen while you are
doing this.

Disassembling the pen can be done using only hands. Apply silicone
geese to the moving parts. Changing the sack in not easy and should
not be done unless it is broken.

What do you do troll the net looking for typos?? You have no knowledge
of anything except your mother's basement and how far the puss flies
when you pop a zit.

Welcome awake after ten days.

My response is called "humor" which you can readily
reference on Google. When you do so please note
that it does not equally affect everyone. Sorry.
