Default Authors Dana and Ginger Lamb Event

The Adventurers' Foundation will present "Quest for the Lost City"
(1954) in
a Special Event screening at The Raleigh Studios in Hollywood,
California on
Saturday May 29, 2004. This will be the first time the Sol Lesser RKO
feature
documentary by noted husband-and-wife explorer/writing team of Dana
and
Ginger Lamb will be seen by the public in 50 years. Also attending
will be
Maria Lamb, as a Special Honored Guest.

"Quest for the Lost City" is the documentary account of the remarkable
trek
across 2000 miles of trackless Mexican and Guatemalan jungle
undertaken by
Dana and Ginger Lamb. Traveling by foot, horseback, dugout canoe,
Model-T
Ford, jeep, and airplane the Lambs traveled down the western edge of
Mexico,
crossing the Sonora Desert into the jungles of Chiapas.

The Lambs' claim of discovery of a lost Mayan city - "Laxtunich" -
deep in the Mexican
jungle was discounted as a fabrication at the time by many. Today,
however, more and more scholars believe the Lambs well may have
actually discovered an ancient lost city.

In addition to the screening, the program will include a panel
discussion of
people connected with the film, and also a silent auction of Dana and
Ginger
Lamb memorabilia. The event will benefit both The Adventurers'
Foundation
Expedition Fund and The Young Adventurers' Education Fund.

For information about this event you may contact Adventurers'
Foundation
President, Pierre Odier at (323) 254-1549.
