Default Which Ponterio Auctions Contained Davenport Talers?

Hello,

I've had a catalog for Ponterio Sale #120 on my want list for a long, long
time. I never found it because I never really looked. I wanted this
particular sale catalog because, from what I understood, this was the sale
of John S. Davenport's collection of Crowns and Talers. In case you don't
recognize the name, he's the guy who wrote the whole indispensible set of
reference books on these coins. For example "European Crowns and Talers"
and many variations.

Very recently I found a catalog for Sale #119 and purchased it. It states
on the front that it contains "Selections from" the famous collection of
interest. This made me look harder, and I just today received catalogs
for sales 120-125 from 2 different sources. All but one mentioned
containing Davenport coins on the cover.

Does anyone know if there were other sales that contained parts of his
collection? I'd chase as many as there are, I just can't find a
definitive list.

Ponterio apparently was swallowed up by Stacks/Bowers. So, searching for
references via google yields thousands of hits, as Stacks mentioned
selling the Davenport collection in their base bio. This means every
single thing published by them now contains the keywords I need. I did,
however, find my 2 sources for the catalogs I do have this way.

Does anyone have experiece with these Ponterio sales and can tell me which
ones had Davenport coins? Again, I've got #119-125. I suppose I could
shoot for a short set of before and after this string, but hopefully
someone can pinpoint the set for me.

Stacks was nice enough to send me some info, but it wasn't enough. I
asked if they had any of Ponterio's web material left, as the size is now
gone and redirects to stacksbowers.com. They had very little. To bad.

I've managed to find a couple of prices realized to go with my set. I
believe I have 3-4 for the 7 sales I have. I'd be interested in copies
of the missing PR's, again, if anyone has some of this material.

Thanks in advance,

Nick

From my records of Ponterio auction catalog sales on eBay, Ponterio #
116, 117 and 118 do NOT have "Davenport" in the title, nor do Ponterio #
127 and 129. Sorry, dunno about # 126 and 128 ...

Thanks, Ken. I'll narrow my search to 126 and 128, expecting them NOT to
have anything. I'm betting I've got all there is to get w/regards to
Davenport, then.
