Question and maybe a brag
A few weeks ago I picked up a nice copy of Helen MacInnes "Above Suspicion"
at a flea market for $2. Recently I learned that it was her first book and looking at it more closely I am wondering if it is a First American Edition. Little, Brown and Company, Boston, 1942 on title page. Copyright 1941 , Helen Highet and date code CL on copyright page. Dustjacket has a great photo of MacInnes on back and beveled corners. Any information would be appreciated. Tim Crawford |

Since 1940 generally says "First Edition" or "First Printing", but check
your Ahearns' if you have one. They have a listing by publisher at the front of their book. Randy -- Tim Crawford wrote in message .. .
