Default $100 Star note

I cashed my check and one of my $100 bills had a star at the end of the
serial number did I finally find a star note? It would be my first. It
is a crisp 1996 $100 bill with the exception of a crease were the bill
was folded. Is it worth anything other than face value.

Since no one else has answered your question, perhaps you'll realize that a
thank you was in order, rather than a finger..

I've been pulling them out of cir for 4 months now. Mostly $1's but a
few other denominations. No $100's tho.
Since I don't collect them, vbg what can or should I do with them?
Seem so interesting, I just have this "thing" that tells me I HAVE to
hold them for....?
