October 16th - HAPPY FIRST ANNIVERSARY to the LIPC
The Long Island Pen Club has been in existence for ONE YEAR today,
October 16th! We have a steady core group of friendly people who enjoy get-togethers with like-minded individuals who use and collect fountain pens, inks, papers, etc. Buying, selling, trading, talking, presentations, and camaraderie are all on the agenda. The traditional first anniversary gift is.... paper! We should all go buy ourselves some good paper (stationery) to celebrate! The Long Island Pen Club was founded on October 16, 2003! Our first meeting took place at Krisch's Confectioners in Massapequa. We were at a very long, narrow table with loud background music. Everyone was friendly and enthusiastic. It was the beginning of a beautiful friendship! Cheers to the gang for making our group work! Nancy
