Default old man and the sea

Hello,

I have a copy of "The Yearling" and know this to be a true first
because of the "A" on the copyright page, but what does it mean when a
book, like my copy of "Old Man and the Sea" has "Q-8.59[H]" on its
copyright page? Both books are published by Scribners.

Cheers,

Robert

Hi Robert,

While I am not 100% sure, I think that it indicates a 17th printing - Q - that
was made in August - 8th month - of 1959. The [H] probably is a code for the
printer they used.
