Default There are still bargains to be had on eBay...

Please explain to a beginner. If the listing is correct the coin is
worth much more, but why does an uncirculated piece have a chunk
missing from the edge at 10 o'clock?

That "chunk" appears to be a spur off the black plastic surround. It's
annoyingly common, even in the commercial slabs.

I have a few of the GSA Morgans and the black chunk that you see is a
little tab on the back of the holder. The ones I have have 3 tabs, at 2,
6, and 10 o'clock. They keep the coin from hitting the back of the case.

That's just a burr on the packaging getting in the way.

The 1883-CC arrived on July 4th ... it's not a holiday in
Switzerland. I thought it was a nice way to celebrate Independence
Day over here.
