Need A Little Help on 2 Possible Errors

I bought a few packs of 2006 Donruss Gridiron Gear today and pulled
the following 2 cards(from different packs):

#21 Carson Palmer-does not have the silver layer on the front of the
card like all the others, it is just a plain white border, with the
exception of a silver bar over & under his name, and the Gridiron Gear
logo. Is not serially numbered. Is this an error or parallel, or what?

#PT-5 Andre Johnson Player Timeline-has the red Gridiron Gear logo, so
I know it's a parallel, but according to the pack-Player Timeline(40
cards) numbered to 500 w/parallels numbered to 250 or less-but this
card is not numbered. It has the place on the back for the number but
the number is not there. Is this an error?

Any help at all will be greatly appreciated.
