WWII U.S. Army Book, German Northern Theater of Operations, 1940-1945

This U.S. Army booklet by the Department Of the Army is titled, The German
Northern Theater of Operations, 1940-1945, by Earl F. Ziemke. It is in
excellent condition. The booklet is #20-271. It is dated December 1959. The
booklet is 342 pages and is a U.S. Army Dept. case study describing two
campaigns that the Germans conducted in their Northern Theater of
Operations. The first they launched on April 9, 1940 against Denmark and
Norway. The second they conducted out in Finland in partnership with the
Finns against the Soviet Union, beginning 22 June 1941 and ending in the
winter of 1944-45 after the Finnish Government had sued for peace. The book
is based on German milirary and naval documents written during the course of
WWII that were captured by the United States. This book was prepared by the
Special Studies Division Office of the Chief of Military History of the U.S.
Army Department. The book is sectioned into the following: (1) The Campaigns
in Norway and Denmark, and (2) Operations in Finland. The book is full of
charts and detailed fold-out maps. The book measures 6 inches x 9 inches and
is softcover. The book is in excellent condition. There are no loose, torn,
or missing pages. There are no stains or water marks.
