Default Anyone in Hampton Roads got to hear Bush speaK?

If I may borrow a partial quote from the classic Saturday night live
episodes...

Sue, you ignorant slut!
You are a true Dummy-crat, head buried in the sand, only care about
what other countries think of us type of idiot.

If I had to choose between the two evils, I would choose Clinton over
Carter. I find it very humorous that you are such a Carter supporter.
A true joke. Even being raised in Georgia and a former Carter
supporter of the late '70's, I will admit that Carter was an awful
President. Still to this day, he has little concept of how to deal with
foreign relations. The bottom line is you can not be friends with
everyone. I'm sorry, but the Taliban would not like nothing more then
to come over here right now and completely blow your head off your
shoulders and mine too.

I find it funny that you read into that entire thread that it was about
"what President's would be remembered for afterwards"...I thought the
thread was about if anyone heard Bush speak and if he signs autographs
or not. LOL!

Sue, do us all a favor (and your husband)....take one evening out of
your schedule and cook him some dinner and please your man. It's
obvious you spend way too much on time on your computer. snicker

Better start brushing up buddy; because you are the ignorant one here.
Bush destroys national Parks for buisness... and Carter builds homes
for the poor. Pork barrell friends get richer with Bush while the
working poor suffer...

We won't get into politics anymore as this is way off Target, but
while I answer a lot of posts (trying to encourage a good air on this
board) there's some snot like you who responds to posts, reaming
others without looking up answers....

Carter won the Nobel prize in 2002. The thread was talking about what
the president would be remembered for after he leaves office... and
yes, Carter IS a humanitarian and did win the Peace Prize and Bush?
Well, what's he gonna be remembered for? Sending troops to Iraq and
Afghanistan to die for a country that doesn't want us there. He'll be
remembered for looking for weapons of mass destruction that were never
found...

Keep posting; you make me look brilliant.

PS Nice to see you on here too... apparently YOU must not have enough
to do either. May I suggest one of Jimmy Carter's books?

Clinton didn't have the economic woes of Bush either. He wasn't good
foreign relations, but bush is worse!!!!!!

Carter and Clinton are only about 10 times more intelligent than Bush Jr.
Bush sound like a moron every time he opens his mouth because all he can do
is parrot patriotic slogans and cliches. Carter was a poor president
because he didn't have a backbone. Clinton had about half a backbone.

I don't know what bee stung you, but chill out. If you're debating that
Carter won the Peace Prize, you're mistaken. He won it the Humanitarian
branch of the award in 2002. There's no debating that. Of course, this was
after his time in office. He screwed up royally with the hostage situation.
As for Sue's posting, the last I looked, this was still a free public group.
Who cares if she decides to respond to every post made in this group. If
you don't like 'em, don't read 'em.

I'll only say this... the true measure of a presidency is measured by
the first paragraph of what people say about a president after he's
left office.... With Bush, there's nothing positive one will think of
to put in Bush's bio...

The thread was started by me and I know what it's about. I did ask
protocol as it's a bit confusing as to when he does and does not sign.
He's always got an agenda for sure, but he has gone in public to speak
to the people. He even signed a few autographs during his visit to
New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. So that was the initial
question...someone said something else then you chined in with
bullcrap...

Yes, I spend a load of time on my PC. Too much probably, but that's
my problem and apparently, you must love it as you jump on it when you
get a chance. I've "pleased" my man for over 20 years now, and he
seems quite content. I am not the one stressed here...it appears you
are the one with a grude, temper or stress you cannot relieve. My
guess is you don't have anyone to help relieve your tension; that's
too bad.

i'll say just a few things...
the only reason the taliban want to blow our heads off is BECAUSE of
the bush family and the republican initiative. it started with
regan...i don't belive that in 8 years of clinton's presidency, there
was a war that's basically over gas prices...go on, be a bush
supporter, i hope you enjoy that soapbox speaking to less and less an
audience everyday.
i'll close with chris rock's take on bush's supremacy...
wasn't the deficit deleted when clinton was president? now were over
170 million dollars in debt again. 170 million...if he worked at the
gap, and his register came up 170 million short, wouldn't he be fired?

Wars cost money barefool. Ask Clinton about what he thought was an
appropriate response to terrorism... To send soe cruise missiles into
some tents in the middle of the desert. Is that appropriate? Do the
reading and the research. Clinton's ideals and indifference to al
Qaeda only encouraged terrorists like bin Laden and gave the view that
America was weak.
I realize you got married and your wife is going to Iraq. You may not
like the war and this and that. But, when all is said and done, and I
mean 50 or 100 years from now, one of the world's defining moments may
be the war in Iraq. IF, and I say IF, the war is successful(even if it
lasts 5 more years)Bush will be remembered not for being a horrible
public speaker, but for the guy that altered the Middle East and
ushered in democracy. This will not happen overnight, but the
financial gains from democracy there cannot be measured. It may not
benefit us NOW, but it will LATER.
The problem with everyone hating Bush is that they don't think into the
future. They think about now and gas prices and whatever their lot in
life is right now. This war may not have been started for the best of
reasons, but it was certainly a step in the right direction. Look at
the elections, the freedom for women... Do you think that those people
would rather go back to living with Saddam?
The final point I will make is that the main reason gas is going
throught the roof is not Bush. It is the fact that India and
China(over 2 billion people) are now becoming as dependant upon oil as
the US is. That is a significantly higher demand for oil in the last
couple years. This has 0 to do with Bush and his policies. It has to
do with shear supply and demand.
Lastly, stick to what you know(at least somewhat) and that is
autographs.

It sounds like some have been listening way too much to Dan Rather and

Any posting that would quote Chris Rock is not even worth responding

dude, he put us in deficit LONG before the war dumbass...AND, funny how
this country has come OUT OF DEPRESSION during war, not going deeper in
to depression.
dingleberry.
i think they would rather live under saddam... their being force fed
someone else's ideals either way...
the war in iraq looks ridiculous in the coming years, just like vietnam
and korea...we LOST both those wars and our soldiers came home without
anything being accomplished...
we as a people shouldn't be pushing our ideals on anyone else...bush is
like hitler, genghis kahn- wanting to conquer people smaller than
him...and that's it...gas prices were going to go up anyway. i dont'
care about gas prices, public transportation is great (not the busses,
but the trains).
the reason they haven't found osama is 1 fact...HIS FAMILY DOES
BUSINESS WITH THE BUSH FAMILY. he doesn't care about finding him...all
bush wanted to do was finish what daddy coudn't finish in the first
place...
he's not my president...i would have rather had gore (who's equally
stupid) ...but voting in this country is simplified by an episode of
south park...you have 2 candidtates- a terd burger or a douchebag. and
that's it...
