condition question
I have looked in numerous places to find an answer to this question
and have none so far...so here it is... what would a mint unused, never hinged, never used pre-cancelled USA stamp be classified as.... I was thinking mint never hinged used?....doesn't seem to work right .....any opinions? thank in advance David |

I'm not sure when it was invented, it appears in some books, but not in others. Maybe a door? 8-) |

In my opinion, a mint stamp is just like it came out of the printing machine, which means never hinged is not necessary. The USA has some stamps that have the cancellation as part of the stamp. Some the gum is a bit difficult to see. Many countries precancel stamps as part of the printing process and sell them the same price as mint stamps. In my opinion again, once a precancel stamp leaves the postal service control it is a used stamp. Ralphael, the OLD one |
