Default Morgan Pen & Pencil Co

I am trying to find out about the Morgan Pen & Pencil Co. From an old
box I know that they operated at 116 Naussau St., New York at one time.
Any information would be much appreciated -- was this an independent
company or was it a name used by one of the better known companies. My
enquiries with the New York public libraries did not yield any
information and I am posting this with the hope that someone knows
about this company.
Thanks, Greg

Not sure where to find it but there used to be a book published about the
company: Someone here might have a copy?? It used to be distributed by His
Nibs, from a shop in Drury Lane in London?

They practically invented the propelling pencil and were for the longest
time the only collectable Victorian pencil. (those times have long passed).

I had a solid gold pen and pencil set made by Watermans in the Thirties
which had a Mordan pencil which I sold at the last Boston Pen Show. And I
bought a combination pencil, supposed "fountain" pen (obviously a dipping
pen) and letter opener (knife) made by Samson Mordan & Co in a sale in
London a few days ago. I have somewhere a barrel of an eye dropper fountain
pen signed Mordan and with a Mordan nib but I am unaware of anyone having
ever seen a whole pen or having ever otherwise seen a Mordan nib. This
suggests they didn't make it (unless someone knows better)? They aren't
mentioned in the Steinberg book which may be something of a mistake if they
did make fountain pens.

Sorry, Greg, I have just noticed the slight error in my message to you: You
don't seem to have been asking about Samson Mordan, but rather some other
company known as Morgan operating (as were a huge number of companies) in
the downtown New York area in the vague general vicinity of Watermans
