Thank you. I look forward to the licence fee increase you have brought about
by not telling people to enclose a SAE.

What are you on about a licence fee increase?

Do you need an SAE?.

If people don't enclose an SAE then the BBC has to pay the return postage.
As they are financed through the licence fee any increase in their costs can
lead to an increase in the licence fee. I pay the whole fee myself, do you?

If you go to the Eastenders website it tells you how to get cast autographs.
It says on there that you enclose a self addressed envelope but don't need
to send a stamp.

You may not need a stamp, but to not send one is UNCOOL. If it gets
too costly for them, they could choose to stop that service. No one
would like that.

That's a very good point. I would err on the side of caution and send in a
home made cake. Hopefully the BBC accounts department could make an internal
transfer to the Radio 4 Test Match Special team so it wouldn't appear on
Aggers' and Henry Blofeld's P11D as a benefit in kind and they would
graciously stump up the appropriate postage to return the autograph. Brian
Johnston would probably have brought it to your front door and regaled you
with a couple of hours' worth of charming anecdotes but his spirit of
chivalry died along with him.

They usually send 6x4 b/w photos I would imagine. Best if you sent
something.

5x7's I send there cost 1 pound about. I have been putting 1.01-1.03
on there and have had many back with no problems or extra postage
added.

for smaller envelopes I was putting 69 p on there and they come back
fine.

If you don't have proper UK stamps, ONE or TWO Irc's will work. Just
ask your post office for an international response coupon.

All you do is put the coupon inside with the letter and SAE and
they'll bring it to the post office to get one first class air mail
stamp. IRC's are good for one air mail stamp anywhere in the world.
