An Exception to the Rule
I had a customer ask me a question about those Readers Digest Condensed
Books. I remarked that I put themn out for three for a dollar because they're usually worthless and hard to get rid of. He caught my "usually" and asked me if there were any exceptions to the rule. ... I had no idea. I'm still a beginner at this bookseller business (I'm part time from my home), and I couldnt think of a single exception. So ... is there such a thing as a valuable Readers Digest Condensed Book? |

So ... is there such a thing as a valuable Readers Digest Condensed Book? The first four issues, from 1950, in dj, are apparently quite sought after. -- Jon Meyers [To reply, lose your way.] |

I believe it was one of the earliest editions, and it still had the dust jacket. Alice |

No, actually it was the one with 100
shares of IBM pasted to the inside back cover. (Considered highly desirable by discerning collectors everywhere). --Dave Conford |
