Default Connecting a Rowe Wallstar to a Floor CD Juke

Hello,
I just bought a Wallstar to put in another room of a Bar location I
have. What do I need And how do I connect The Wallstar to the 100C
located in another room.

Thanks,
Pat

very easy.

you get the power transformer (120 - 24v) that should have come with
the wallstar - you put it in the CD 100 and plug it into one of the
120v sockets in the laserstar. you then take the 24v from this
transformer and run it to the "24v ac" terminals on the wallstar (on
the metal panel where the meter and page switch is.

For this job you should use reasonably substantial wire to aviod
voltage loss. ordinary Mains cable (either flex or buliding cable) is
ideal. (2.5mm squared twin and earth I use). if you try and use
thin wire over a long run - you will cop substantial voltage losses by
the time the power gets to the wallstar. Typically 24v @ about 3
amps.

DO NOT CONNECT THE WALLBOX DIRECTLY TO MAINS POWER !!!

This may result in intermittent faults with the computer - blacking
out - losing credits - showing wallbox communication errors in the
error log back at the laserstar end.

I would also supply a mains earth back to the laserstar for safety.
Attatch it to an existing earth wire or lug on both machines at each
end.

for the "rowelink" I just use telephone wire. or any 2 core wire
should be OK. doesn't need shielding. Have run about 200 ft like
this with no problems occuring.

You take them from the terminals marked "rowelink a and rowelink b" on
the wallbox - and join to the 3 pin sockets that are on the lower
right of the CCC board. they will have little 3 pin plugs with one
orange wire and one white wire. join to these. if it doesnt work
- swap the wires at the wallbox end.

Wallbox doesnt need any further programming to make it work - it
downloads all its pricing etc information from the CD 100
automatically when turned on first. It also derives its power
(obviously) from the laserstar juke.

----------

Finally - you will need extension speakers if its located in another
room. simply take the wires for these back to the speaker terminals
on the main juke. Again - for long runs use adequately thick wire.
