Apologies if the link has already been posted.

I went to the dealer's website to see if they had a better image, but no such
luck.

One item did catch my eye given the chatter over Ira's auction. They have an
1895 Proof Morgan graded NGC PF 69 Ultra Cameo for a cool $562,500....sadly
there is no image availbale.

Sabba disis wudyu say? ((gulp))

Ipis howellmut? ((eep!))

From: "whohah"

I noticed that the PCGS holder mentioned a 'Silver Plug' on the slab. What's

that about?

"Silver Plug" - at some time, a hole was bored into the coin; at some later
date, somebody filled that hole with silver, trying to match the coin's natural
details as close as possible.

1) Don't ever drill a hole into a coin;
2) If you do, drill in the back field, and not on any details;
3) If you do drill into the details, I'll come looking for you...

There is much more detailed information about this on the ANA web
site, with information for and against "first strike." See online at:

http://www.money.org/press/20040315-1794dollar.html

ANA held a news conference at HQ on Monday, March 15. The coin will
be displayed in Portland, Oregon at the ANA National Money Show, March
26 - 28. Also on display will be the just recovered du Pont 1866 No
Motto dollar and BOTH the Walton and Bebee 1913 Liberty Head nickels.
