Not only do the carts fall apart, but the K-Tel carts have even worse tunes on them than the American ones. Good thing for them that they have the USA next door covering their butts (like we have been for the last 100 years or so). Dan, proud to be a citizen of the USA regardless of the president in office. Every one should be proud of thier respective countries and of the good things they accomplish and stand for. Just because the guy next door to me buys a brand new Corvette, should I run over and polish it for him and shovel his drive way? I drive American cars (F250 4x4/'84 5th Ave/'95 Intrepid),built in Canada, drink American beer I cross the river to buy(actually I'll drink almost anything), buy American goods (when I can't get Canadian)... although recently both our countries have gone to China in a handbasket. We have the good fortune to carry on relatively unhindered cross-border free trade. And when the time comes (I hope not), with or with out participation in Mr. Bush's grandiose "nuclear umbrella", I am sure the fallout will be raining down on us from the "bombs bursting in air" because who the **** is going to shoot down ICBM's over thier own territory? As for being prissy or resentful, that is your opinion. There is a so called "ugly American syndrom" that is a stereotype that does not bear discussion. I have met the same kind of people in my own country. To finish, I have travelled enough in the United States to realize 99% of every body there is the same as us, just trying to live life the best they can. |

There is a so
called "ugly American syndrom" that is a stereotype that does not bear discussion. I have met the same kind of people in my own country. In November I travelled to Montreal, my first stay outside the US for longer than a day. All of the natives treated me respectfully and kindly. I was quite impressed by the hospitality of Montrealians (sp?) during my stay and look forward to returning some day. later, ron |
