Waterman made both a long and short cartridge, and the shorter one was nearly
identical to the "international" cartridge. Some have discussed very slight
variations in the diameter of the cartridge.

the simple answer is to put one in and try it. If it fits, then it will work.

I was under the impression that the Waterman long cartridge was twice
the length of an international cartridge. So you put in two
international cartridges back to back. When one ran out you switched.
That way you almost always had a second full cartridge available.
