Billy http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=160085511271 Hi Billy, The purpose of listing the item at low start price is to attract bidders to win the item. Most of the time, ebay seller list them at US $0.99 or 99 cents. The item or banknote could be worth a few hundreds or a few thousand dollars in value. With this low start price, it allows bidders to win them at a price that they are willing to pay. Low starting price also attract many people to bid and pay at the current market price. That's the spirit of auction bidding. Derrick See www.notepassion.com |

The listing fees were a waste of money. Billy |

Listing fees is considered only a fraction of the amount although ebay is charging higher and higher listing fees. Sometimes, the right buyer did not come along to win the item. In any case, auction does give collectors an opportunity to sell their unwanted items. Usually for high valued banknotes, they are not listed in ebay. This is due to high final sale value charged by ebay. Additional charges also included if it is paid through paypal. Derrick See www.notepassion.com |
