Default BC or not BC...

....that is the question! No, actually THIS is the question:

Is the presence of a printed-in price, on the inside of a dust jacket,
sure and CERTAIN proof that a book is not a Book Club edition, in all cases?

No.

There are a small number of BCEs with priced jackets; most of these can be
distinguished by the book-club blind stamp.

Also, it is possible to run across examples of trade-edition jackets married
to club-edition books.

No. Not all. Especially recent ones. That is the problem.
