software to help ID stamps?
Is there software the will help speed up the process of IDing stamps? Maybe something that can sort by name, stamp face value, year etc and filter a choice ultimately showing a picture of the stamp. Much like we are manually doing now; We are new stamp collectors....we have bought lots of bulk stamps to start....we have Scotts catalogs and Minkus catalogs, but eyes get tired and searching for some stamps can get very tedious. We thought some purpose made software for collectors would help that has built in catalog with pictures. Any thoughts on the matter appreciated. thank you .. |

HI,
such a program exists! It is called EzStamp. It includes both Scott & Minkus #'s. You can search by Year, Denomination, Cat #, description, key word etc & images of all matchings stamps will appear in a thumbnail viewer. You then click onthe image you want & it will pop up ready to be inventoried. We have over 110 databases available. EzStamp will also show you pertinent details about differentiating varieties of the same stamp with blowup illustrations to show you what to look for! FREE DEMO version is available from our website at http://www.ezstamp.com If you have any questions, just let me know regards Marios hhandson wrote: Is there software the will help speed up the process of IDing stamps? If you have a local Pearl's art supply house nearby, they sell
enormous mounts for museum use. I've found that by buying a cutter and large sheets one can save a lot of money mounting stamps. Len Nadybal Washington DC |
