Seeburg wont pick up first record

Seeburg G .. any deas

The last time ( credit ) the machine is played and the song is over it
stops and the record stays loose up in the player ( normal ) The machine
is then shut off for the day .
Apon power on the next day or 2 or 3 ... a coin is inserted , make
selection light goes on .. song buttons are pressed and the record that
was seting up in the player loads back into the rack ... then the mech
just sits righ where it is .. spinning .. Then you have to flip the
clutch lever by hand once then the mech goes to the record you just
selected & plays it and continues working playing all selections fine
all night by itself .
The above happens every time its started after one day or more shut off
