Default Parker Vacumatic Nibs

I've picked up several Parker Vacumatics and while I love the look of the
pen, the nibs are horrible! There is one with a nib that is comfortable to
write with...but it is not on my favorite of the Vacumatics.

Can I just unscrew one nib and put it on the other? Or does this break some
seal that will have to be redone?

hmm... that hasn't been my experience. i think they're ok. i have a
canadian nib that's very nice.

well, i've heard here and elsewhere that you have to seal it with
something, but neither of my 2 vacumatics had any noticeable sealing
agent in the threads. i haven't bothered to reseal the sections after
fiddling with my vacumatics, either, yet both seem to work ok.

the fly in the ointment might be the barrel size. if you're swapping
sections from different size vacumatics, it might not work. dunno.
but it wouldn't hurt that much to try, especially if you're not that
happy with the things as they are.

finally, if you really don't like vacumatic nibs, you can yank the
nibs and stick in something else. skyline nibs work, and in my
opinion, are generally more pleasant to write with. you might find
something else that works, too. let us know if you do.

What do you mean horrible? Can you elaborate. It is not smooth? It scratches
the paper? The ink doesn't flow? Any problem with the nib can be fixed.
Provided the nib and the feed itself is not broken.
