An excellent choice- both the Googling and buying the ink.

It's all it claims to be. It's my new standard black. Flow is moderate
but reliable. No stink. Waterproof like in "100%" -- as a test I have
a piece of 4-folded paper on my coffee table with some writing in
Noodlers black on it, which I have been using as a coaster. It's seen
2-3 sweating glasses of soda per day since May, if I recall correctly,
and there has been *no* evidence of moisture on the writing except of
course for some heavy paper crinkling. Another test I have done is to
leave some of the stuff in a Sheaffer Imperial and use the pen only once
a week for three months; I take that same pen horseback riding with me
every day in my shirt pocket (90-100 degrees) but I don't use the pen, I
just take it with me for more temp/humidity abuse -- the pen starts
every time each week and there is *no* evaporation (pen is stored
horizontally at home). I have also intentionally let some Noodlers
black dry in a Sheaffer Viewpoint, and the pen cleaned up just fine with
no residue. Drying time is moderate, no big deal for me since I'm a
lefty and have been fighting that battle for decades anyway. I have
noticed only one oddity: it seems *almost* to hang up inside a Sheaffer
cartridge even with a little very diluted 409 (QH) or Palmolive (GA as I
recall) so I'm wondering what it'll do in a converter, which of course
would be of lesser diameter; I haven't bothered to try, simply because
it doesn't intrigue me enough and plus the problem can be gotten around
easy enough anyway. Before I forget... penetration is moderate but you
nevertheless won't want to use it in a checkbook record if you use both
sides of the paper; still in this respect it's a helluva lot
more-restrained than original Skrip black which was hardly gentlemanly
and would violate just about anything.
