Default OT- HELP HELP HELP

I know this is off-topic, but I need help desperately. I am regular reader
and contributor to this newsgroup. But I am also interested in maps. So I
found this binary newsgroup entitled alt.binaries.maps. So what do I get?
Thousands of messages from the same person (?), all in binary code, and each
is 250 KB long. I simply cannot get rid of them. I deleted over 600 today,
only to get additional thousands in its place. They arrive at one-minute
intervals. Clicking on one or more messages and trying to delete them will
not work: the delete button is inactive. Catch up tries to open the
messages. Any suggestions?
The subject of the articles (?) is given below.

PLEASE DO NO OPEN IT You might end up with the same problem.

Messages are sent daily, and the latest are today I do not know the
earliest date.

G'day Tony,
You should really post to a dedicated site for the best assistance.
I always have several NG's available from the Microsoft server.
For general Win98 (and others) advice
I use
http://groups-beta.google.com/group/...scussion?hl=en

Your question could also use OE NG.

If these are not easily available to use, for you,
let me know, and I'll post the query on your behalf.
You should get an answer within 30 minutes.

Rodney

If you're using Outlook Express you can limit the number of message
headers downloaded at one time via Tools - Options - Read.

You can block one particular sender by selecting his message and
clicking on Tools - Block Sender.
Other newsgroup readers should have similar capabilities.

The file you reference is one of a multipart MP3 music file, not a map.
