Default Final closeout sale of Gallery Mint Museum stock

Dr. Lawrence J. Lee, who ran Striker Token and Medal after the demise of
the Gallery Mint Museum, currently has a closeout sale underway of the
remaining stock of original Gallery Mint Museum products, including many
archived pieces.

At this point, Dr. Lee has online offerings of Ron Landis' Concept
dollars which have been very popular with collectors, a section of
ancient reproductions and one of colonial coin reproductions.

The Concept dollars run the gamut of issues between 1995-2000, when
Gallery Mint Museum chief engraver, Ron Landis, made prototype designs
as a replacement concept for the old Susan B. Anthony dollars. Some of
the Concept dollars on sale are extremely low mintage and very
desirable. These are the equivalent of modern day patterns.

In the ancient coin reproductions section there are various sized
Athenian drachmas and a Roman Eid Mar (Ides of March) reproduction. Also
of interest are a large number of hand hammered Youth/Pegasus fantasy
coins struck in pewter in the ancient Greek-style of minting

In the colonial coin reproductions section there are Fugio cents, Bar
cents, Continental Currency dollars in various metals and numerous dates
for New Jersey coppers.

Slated to appear next are US copper coin reproductions, including half
cents and large cents.

This is an opportunity not to be missed! And in the near future Dr. Lee
will add even more categories of closeout items, which are sure to pique
your interest. Please visit his website for details:

Not much of a sale, for the ancients replicas anyway, with the
close-out price the same as the previous retail price for all of those
that were previously sold. Not many left, which is undoubtedly why.

And the price of silver has shot up as well.

I own a few of the Gallery Mint reproductions. Nice work. Sorry they
are no longer being made. I wonder if they will increase in value in
the coming years?

No telling about potential price/value increase. Ron Landis is certainly
a master engraver and has won prestigious recognition, and being his
works, they have that much going for them.
I like the various issues since they are real examples of the minter's
art created using various technologies. In that sense they are
numismatically educational.
Verne Walrafen is such a fan that he had Ron Landis mint a series of his
die creations in pure gold. It's a wonder to behold!:

Seeing some of the coins on eBay would suggest that they are really high
value reproductions, I have personally sold some of the 1793 and 1794 style
cents for 4-5X what I paid for them. I kick myself for not buying the
starred reverse variety while they were still making them, or the 1794
Silver Dollar. I liked being able to take one of the 1794's and keep it as
a pocket piece and play late 18th century coin pocket piece with it.
