Wow. I tossed you a starting bid or three. Hopefully you're upgrading?

"Stardancer" cried out in a voice both loud and long:

Well, maybe the terms "unbecoming" and "homely" would be better than
calling the poor thing "ugly." But then, those terms would both mar the
lofty "BU" condition that the coin depicts. :-)

Upgrading? Nah

Bought this in a collection a couple years ago and thought time
to liquidate.

You know, when I hear the phrase "A face only a mother could love"
I wonder if it applies

I'm not planning to ride this one very high at all, but we'll see what
happens. We may both be very surprised.

Harshly cleaned!!!! With a file, it seems.

Is that a D or a piece of metal from that scrape nearby?

I suspect that you might get more for scrap.

Marketing is the key here....
You might try this as an auction title...

"Unique Example of a Former Mint State 1921 Walking Liberty Half.

OT : That walking liberty design is so inspired it can withstand much wear.

Yes, it sure can. Even this poor abused example still "has it". I was
wondering why we see abuse so often in key dates, but I think it's
because if it _wasn't_ a key date, and had that abuse, it'd have been
melted decades ago.
