Default Misleading subject line in emails and NG posts

I have been collecting Sudan Camel Postman for about 20 years and my name
has gone around the block many a time in association. This morning I
received an email with a subject line: "new camel postman issues in 2007"
addressed to me *by name*. The email, however, had nothing to do with
stamps but was simply a sales pitch for replica watches. I forwarded the
email to but it was returned to me as undeliverable.

I seem to recall that a few years back there was talk of prohibiting by law
the use of misleading subject lines - subject lines that do not accurately
reflect the content of the email or NG post. Does anyone remember that?
What ever came of it? TIA.

Note that the "From:" header is almost always spoofed. The only reliable
email message header you can trust is the "Received:" header that shows who
sent the message to your ISP. All other "Received:" headers could be faked.

This would indicate to me, you have malware
on your computer.
I'd suggest loading and running the free Swedish software
"adaware" which would remove the auto bots.
