If the season ended today, it should be Eric Gagne. Based on both
concepts of what an MVP is - the player with the best stats & the
player most important in regards to his team contribution - Gagne is
tops. Personally, I don't think pitchers should be able to win the MVP
award, but seeing how they can, it's kinda hard to argue against a guy
with a perfect season when it comes to getting his job done...and it's
not like he's doing it with Mike Williams or Jose Lima stats.
