Columbia kept their Masterworks catalog at 7½ for a couple of

WRONG- the 4 track tape isn't noisier, it just has tracks that are not
as wide, you DUMB ASS- because they are squeezing 4 tracks onto a 1/4"
tape, instead of only 2 tracks on a 1/4" tape

and you failed to mention, going to 4-track enabled the QUAD REEL
format- and it also enabled them to play both sides of the tapes for
STEREO recordings- therefore doubling the recording time available from
the same length of tape

what about those benefits ??

you need to take your LIBERAL GLOOM AND DOOM philosophy ELSEWHERE,
because we're sick of hearing the "they" did this, and "they" did that

"they" is you and me, we're all AMERICANS, unless of course, you really
are an ILLEGAL SCUMBAG BEANER like I said you were...

go back to Mexico, lowlife...
