pick out at least the quarters and use
them while leaving the lower denominations
for coinstar or the bank.

I use them all for tolls or for vending machine change.

Here in Illinois most people that pay tolls on any regular basis have I
Pass. Once vending machines start taking smart cards of some sort, currency
is on the way out.
