Default Mint sent info on Kennedy Halfs

I know, the prices are pretty high, for the gold coin which contains 3/4
ounce of gold, they want 1,277.50 which is close to the price of an ounce.
The uncirculated 2 coin set, which consists of the same coins available in
the rolls, is priced at 9.95, a dollar face value and 8.95 for the
packaging. I will probably order the 4 coin set with the reverse proof coin
but they want a hundred dollars for this set which is a pretty big premium
over the silver content. No mintage limit is set for any of these options,
so it is just a crap shoot if any of these issues will increase in value on
the secondary market or drop like a rock. The Kennedy half used to be very
popular in europe and other countries, so a demand could arise due to those
markets, but again all depends on final mintage figures, which are open
ended at this point.

It is probably because they sent out millions of postcards that the cost
to purchase them is so high
