Default Le Petit Prince - Edition Questions

Hello,

I have a French copy of Le Petit Prince and am wondering which edition it is.

It's hardcover, sand-colored cloth, with brown lettering and image of the prince on the cover. The spine has "Antoine de Saint-Exupéry" at the top and "Le Petit Prince" down the center.

Publisher information: It says "Copyright, 1943, by Harcourt, Brace & World, Inc". It was also printed in the US. If Harcourt changed their name around 1960, then why does it say 1943 and no further edition information?

There is no rose on page 27. It does not have the crow on page 63.

There's no coding (1 2 3 4...) or blindstamp.

Does anyone have any idea? Thanks!

Hi,

Have you come across this publishing history yet? If not, it may help.
