In 1987 she designed some very nice Viking stamps
comm 900th death anniv of William the conqueror.

It shows the Viking King Rollo (not known Danish or
Norwegian) receiving land around
the mouth of the River Seine in 911, he was given
Rouen and surrounding countryside, (as protection
against other Vikings)
The land later became Normandy (land of the Northmen)
Rollo possibly became baptised, and this became
the basis of the Duchy of Normandy.

a really neat stamp fro a set I have yet
to find.
