Almost all the coins I sell on Ebay are raw or uncertified. I've had
good
response to most things I sell like Indian Heads, but one area that
seems
to get poor response is Morgan Dollars. Coins that list other places for

say $ 80.00, I can't get an opening bid of 35.00 for my coin. Is it that

everone wants them graded by the big three, or is the Morgan market that

soft now? Any ideas?

Well it seems that everyone is looking for an undergraded coin at this
point with the hope of making a score.Sad isnt it?Collecting has seemed
to given way to speculating in many cases. The only other thing I can
think of is take a good look at what you are selling. If the coins are in
f to vf shape you may not get more than slightly over melt value.Good
luck and regards.JMHO

As a buyer on ebay, for any valuable morgan you ask why that Morgan
isn't slabbed.

As for speculation, there has never been a time where coin collecting
didn't involve speculation, marketing, and .... fraud.
