Quite apart from the fact that many PO departments worldwide seem to want to
discourage the use of postage stamps, there is a fundamental weakness, and
bias with SCOTT catalogs.

Scott may have reasonable valuations for the US material, but for almost all
other countries, the Scott valuation seems to be but a small fraction of the
values for the same stamps in reutable recognised catalos such as MICHEL,
Yvert, SG, FACIT, Zumstein and similar.

In other words, it seems that Scott is only interested in US wallpaper, and US
collectors, and may be deliberately undervaluing European and other countries'
material?
