British Columbia Philatelic Society plans VANPEX 2004

VANPEX, the annual national-level exhibition and bourse hosted by the
British Columbia Philatelic Society, is scheduled for Oct. 8-10, 2004,
at the Best Western Hotel & Convention Centre in Richmond, BC, a
suburb of Vancouver.

VANPEX organizers expect a 175-frame exhibit; we have received
applications for exhibits totalling 43 frames, so there is still time
to book your exhibit space. There will be 29 bourse tables,
representing dealers from across Canada. Canada Post will have a
booth, and the post office of Saint Pierre & Miquellon will have an
official representatives on hand to sell stamps and other philatelic
items, and to service covers. Two VANPEX show covers have been
printed. In addition, there will be generous door prizes and seminars
for beginning and advanced collectors.

Admission is $2 for adults, or $4 for the weekend. Children are free.
Participants in VANPEX will be able to take advantage of a special
hotel rate of $99 a nite during the event.
