it is interesting indeed. (A polymer note, by the way.) As for that
eclipse, it could be experienced elsewhere as well - my friend and I
went to Wissembourg (Alsace, France) on that day to see it :-)

That was one of the most fascinating events I've ever witnessed! I
remember
getting up in the middle of the night on that day, and chasing after the
first spot of blue sky west of Aachen, which I reached a bit north of
Paris
just 30 minutes before the eclipse started. By the way, when will the
next
eclipse be seen in Western Europe?
