What is the cheapest source for 1 Ngultrum Bhutanese currency? It trades
about 50 to the 1 USD.

A legal tender note has 2 sets of values: an exchange value (face
value) and a collector value.

Current exchange rate for Bhutan currency is $1 USD for 50 Ngultrum or
$0.02 USD for 1 Ngultrum regardless of the conditon of the note. The
cheapest source is directly from the bank.

Collector value is generally more than the face value for uncirculated
(UNC) notes and face value for circulated ones. You can buy an UNC 1
Ngultrum note from a dealer for about $0.50.

Just go to ebay, in the world paper money section under Coins & Paper
Money Paper Money: World Asia, Middle East Other and type in "1
Ngultrum" in the search engine and you'll get all the 1 ngultrum notes
currently available for sale.
(the search currently turns up about 40 results, with prices starting
at49 cents.
