Template and knife was the choice of the early envelope makers.

Small arbor press with template (knife die) would be less arduous. Arbor
presses available from a large variety of sources on-line...

Yes, this should be the Scott listed error. Although inverted surcharge on
stamp is possible I have found no reports of such for this issue and
surcharge. Editors of the UPSS 20th Century...

I am not aware of any on-line references scarcity of US cut squares.
Someday I will try to add that information into my classic cut square price

Zip4 is dead

Postal Service explained the Zip plus system to those of us in business
thus:

Zip = town or part of city
+4 = route
+2 = specific mail receptacle on the route
