A question about selling some Swiss Francs
I have 250 ChFrChfa, they are in near UNC condition. Today's official
rate for 250 is $246.00 I realize the exchange bureaux that however when I called to find out they will give me 214.95 for my francs minus a commission of 5.95 making my total $209.00. My question is would it be better to sell them on Ebay? I knoEBayere are fees for listing and I am sure they charge a commission as well. PayPal will Pay-Pal cut I am sure but do you know if all of that will come out to $36.00 more or less. I see a lot of offers for currencies on Ebay but I'vEBayver bought or sold there, so I am not sure how it works. Can anyone help me out with some answers. Thanks much Nick |

I have seen people get ridiculous with high bids, even on circulated notes in ?uro and Sterling. The CHF might be a bit different, unless you find the right person that wants or needs them at that moment, late last year I needed 400 CHF, and would have preferred to have them instead of having to pay in $ via paypoo. At that time, the CHF was appreciating frequently vs. the Dollar and the price of the materiel I was buying from someone kept going up accordingly when valued in Dollars. |
