You can wholly blame Charles M. Nudo, Jr., aka 66-catalina on eBay,
aka trippin-2-8-track, and
for all the destruction. There's nothing left
to build on in here anymore, and the hobby, with a lot of help from
Nudo, has all but collapsed.

You can still get more on 8 tracks at http://www.8trackheaven.com and
its mailing list, or you can gander at http://www.katestrackshack.com
if you're in the market for carts. Other than that, the hoopla of 8
track collecting of the early '90s is now all but gone.
