Modern Library info, please? - Treasure Island
Hi,
My dust jacket lists to #133 (Bierce - In the Midst of Life) published in 1927. Would that mean this copy of Treasure Island published in 1927? Back of dust jacket says "The Modern Library . Inc . New York/ In Canada . The Macmillan Company of Canada . Ltd . Toronto". Do all the old dust jackets say that or just ones there were being exported to Canada? Back also says "A New Title on the 25th of Every Month" - is that true? Common? Any rough idea of value for Treasure Island, Binding #4, dust jacket missing small pieces bottom edge, not a 1st? Thanks for any help |

That is Greek, from Sophocles' play, the The Women of Trachis. Loosely translated - Call no man happy until you have seen his final day. I thought it was "Call no man happy until you have seen his wife's tits." I must have a different translation. -- Francis A.
