The chamber celebrated today with the unveiling of the first in a series of four commemorative coins. It depicts a submarine with a North Dakota flag flying in the background on the front. On the back of the coin, the original USS North Dakota battleship crest is rendered. "We support this effort and build this relationship with the USS North Dakota," says Gov. John Hoeven. "That`s what today is all about and that`s what this first battle coin is about. It is a fundraising effort as well as a wonderful memento." The coins are available at the Bismarck-Mandan Chamber of Commerce, at 1640 Burnt Boat Drive in Bismarck. Proceeds will support activities related to the USS North Dakota. ... |
