Overlooked junk at garage sales may have resale potential.

'Decorative collectibles' make up the largest Ebay category of
collectibles found at garage-sales, yard-sales, estate sales, etc.
e.g., much of which is mass-produced junk. Yet, several types of
decorative collectibles are worth further consideration in buying for
resale.

Following are examples of decorative collectibles which may be
overlooked esp. the collectibles that Ebay categorizes under other
brands, other items, etc.; items which may have "somewhat unique"
values within the masses of junk.

Additional links to auction examples are at the bottom of this list;
as the following list is only intended as a "rough guideline" of what
to consider at sales.

* Longaberger e.g., metalworks, any "other items" (other than the 22
different Longaberger categories).

* Lladro collectibles.

* Lenox e.g., figurines, ornaments, "other items" (other than the 9
different Lenox categories).

* HOMCO Figurines, pictures.

* Avon e.g., decanters, collector plates, bottles, figurines, "other
items" (other that the 12 Avon categories).

* Bradford Exchange "yes, the collector plates."

* Other brands of Decorative Collectibles (other than the 68 brands
categorized).

* Unbranded items e.g., lighthouses, collector-plates, "other
items" (other that the 34 categories of items)

at least one bid:

sellers who mentioned where they found decorative collectibles i.e.,

With weekends of garage-sales, estate-sales (and spring cleaning
season); greater varieties of "widgets" show-up at sales.

As said previously, Ebay often uses the term 'OTHER' in categories for
items that don't fit into the usual types brands, and descriptions;
which may indicate "somewhat out-of -the ordinary" items that may have
resale values. The term 'OTHER' in categorizations seems to be the
"operative word" in viewing auctions and garage-sale widgets alike!

Wow. Your list is made up of the most common, over-sold, "comes
with a COA" items on eBay. Shouldn't it be "things to avoid"?

LAUGH!: The "finds" are usually discovered by "digging-through" the
junk to avoid.

Under other brands' (other than the 68 brands Ebay categorizes) the 'state plates' i.e., the plates produced for each of the 50 US states have resale value. Calender plates are also worth consideration.

P.S. What is COA an acronym for?

'Decorative collectibles' that sell for at least nine-dollars (around
half of all EBAY auction listings for decorative collectives) may be
worth consideration (being higher-quality junk) include:

* Limoges brand e.g., including other Limoges collectibles, collector
plates.

* Bradford Exchange: yes those collector-plates, and other Brandofrd
Exchage items.

* Other brands (OTHER than the 69 brands of decorative collectibes
categorized) Trinket-boxes.

* Unbranded tea-pots & sets.

Junk sells, go figure!

No way.

The minimum profitable eBay sale is $19.63

incoherently inscribed:

'Decorative collectibles' ...

kipple

... make up the largest Ebay category of
collectibles found at garage-sales, yard-sales, estate sales, etc.

eBay is a great place to buy this crap, but very little
of it is even worth the effort to list.

* Lenox e.g., figurines, ornaments, ...

We have Lenox and Tiffany fine china we'd be willing
to sell on eBay, but the market for it appears to be
collapsing. The generations that preferred class to
convenience are all shuffling off to assisted living.

* Bradford Exchange "yes, the collector plates."

First rule of collecting:
Never collect anything sold as "collectible".

Philip K. Dick is dead.
Kipple died with him.
