New Group
 

I've started a new group - it is TTM Autograph Collecting. It is
invite only. I am inviting everyone to join - I'm not keeping anyone
out at first. This is what I have posted so far.

Please remember the only rule is treat each other with respect. If not
you will be banned. I don't want to start off on a negative note but I
want to make sure every one is aware. There will be one warning and
then you will be banned. Whether it is permanent or for a month will
be decided depending on the severity. Hopefully we will not have to
ban anyone.

If you are interested in joining this group (and I hope everyone is)
please send your email address to and let
me know that you want to be added to the group and I will add you.
Hopefully this will keep the negativity off the group. If you do not
want to join this group please let me know why. If more people are
staying here then are going to the new site I may want to rethink if a
new site is a good idea. I'm just trying something here. We'll see if
it floats.

I plan on keeping the riff raff out. That is my whole reason for
starting the group. However, I feel that I need to give people the
benefit of the doubt. barefoot is welcome - but if he berates the TTM
on that group he will be warned and then banned. I don't want to not
allow someone to join who may have had issues in the past but are
willing to behave now. We will not have weeks of bad posts as this
group has had. That is my intention.

If Tarkushadow starts a new group that promises to keep out the
negative posts I will support/join it - if people want to join that one
instead we can disband mine. We just need to get something started
that is positive and let the people who want to B&M stay here.

I just wanted to give the option.

I for one am still waiting to hear from Tarkushadow about the new group he
was planning. Since you are not planning to exclude individuals who berate
the TTM hobby (barefoot, etc.), I can guarantee you that I would never join
the group. Also, I understand that The Autograph King and two other
individuals (one of the top authenticators in the world, and another
individual who owns the world's largest TTM collection of over 200,000
autographs) are also waiting to hear from Tarkushadow. They won't join
either unless you keep the riff raff out.
But I do with you the best of luck with your new group!

I signed it up as a google group. I'm not sure about usenet ... but I
get to this forum through google so maybe it is. I haven't used usenet
for many years and don't really know anything about it. It does not
have the alt. in front of the name like this group does. I don't know
if that means usenet or not. I wish I knew more.
